The company has quietly launched selfie focused Micromax Selfie 2 android smartphone in India. Other than the extra focus on selfie feature, the mobile packs a decent hardware, storage and supports 4G LTE with VoLTE.

Micromax Selfie 2 is priced at Rs 9,999 and available in all major online and offline stores across India. Just like any smartphone, it comes with one year warranty, but Micromax is offering 100 days free-replacement warranty on any hardware failure.

Micromax Selfie 2 Specification and Features

The biggest feature of Micromax Selfie 2 is its 8-megapixel selfie front camera. The camera features Sony IM135 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, 5 Pcs lens, blur glass IR filter and LED flash support. What makes it different, is the software part that can help you to capture real time Bokeh effect (background blurred effect). It also comes with face beauty mode that brighten up your face while taking selfies. On the back, the mobile comes with a 13-megapixel camera. It features OV 8856 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, FOV 84 and LED flash support.

The Micromax Selfie 2 flaunts a 5.2-inch HD IPS display. Under the hood, the mobile is powered by a MediaTek MT6737 quad-core processor coupled with 3GB of DDR3 RAM. To store all your photos and media files, the mobile comes with 32GB of internal storage. You can further expand the storage using microSD card.

For connectivity, the Micromax Selfie 2 supports 4G LTE network that works with every Indian telcos 4G band. In addition, the mobile also supports VoLTE, which allows you to make HD voice and video calls. Other connectivity options include 3G and 2G network support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v4.0. The phone runs on an Android 7.0 Nougat OS with minimal skin over the top. For extra security, you also get a finger print scanner placed at the back of the device. To fuel the device, it packs a 3000mAh battery, which company claims to offer a day long backup.
