India’s own mobile vendor Micromax has come with a crazy mad idea with its Canvas MAd A94 – an Android smartphone that offers its users to earn money for watching advertisements. If you love watching ads and if that can earn you some bucks for your daily calls and SMS, then this smartphone is for you.
The concept is very simple, the user first need to register the MAd application that comes preloaded with the smartphone. Once done that, just before dialing a number they can watch an advertisement that will reward them with points. The collected points then can be converted into rupees credited to their Prepaid or Postpaid balance. Users can also watch ads from the MAd application to earn extra points. The accumulated points by user can be redeemed for offers such as free recharge or other benefits available time to time. Though it’s not clear how many point one can earn by watching this ads.
Coming back to the Micromax Canvas MAd A94 smartphone specifications – it spots a 4.5 inch FWVGA IPS display with a screen resolution of 480×854 pixel. It’s powered by an 1.2GHz Quad core BCM23550 processor paired with 512MB RAM and comes with Android Jelly bean 4.2.2 mobile operating system. Interestingly it got 5 megapixel front and rear cameras that can shoot HD 720p videos. It got an inbuilt 4GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 32GB using a microSD card. On the connectivity front it supports 3G, 2G, WiFI and Bluetooth.
