Bumped up the camera at the back and a double memory under the hood, that’s the new Bharat 5 Plus android smartphone launched by Indian mobile vendor Micromax. Essentially its the same Bharat 5 smartphone launched by the company a month ago, but with little bit upgrade here and there.

The main USP of the Micromax Bharat 5 Plus remains the same with its big 5000mAh battery at the back. Other features include HD display, new 8MP rear camera, expandable storage option and 4G VoLTE support.

Micromax has yet to announce the price and availability of Bharat 5 Plus. But, with the Micromax Bharat 5 costing around Rs 5850, the upgraded Bharat 5 Plus will be definitely going to cost around 6 to 7K.

Micromax Bharat 5 Plus Specification and Features

Just like its little brother Bharat 5, the Micromax Bharat 5 Plus got a polycarbonate body with only one colour option to choose from – Black. The mobile flaunts a 5.2-inch HD IPS (720 x 1280p) display covered in 2.5D glass. Under the hood, its powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 processor paired with 2 GB of DDR3 RAM. The mobile runs on Android 7.0 Nougat OS. For storage, the mobile carries 16GB of internal storage. You can further expand the storage up to 64GB using microSD card.

For photography, the Micromax Bharat 5 Plus sports an 8-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED flash support. You can use the camera to shoot bokeh effect, time-lapse videos and panorama photos with ease. For selfie addicts, there is a 5-megapixel front camera featuring 83.3-degree wide angle lens and selfie flash.

Coming to connectivity, the Micromax Bharat 5 Plus supports 4G LTE that works with every Indian telco 4G bands. You also get 4G VoLTE support for making HD voice calls. Other connectivity options include 3G and 2G network support, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n and Bluetooth. Finally fuelling the whole device is a massive 5000mAh battery which also doubles up as a power bank to charge your other devices.
