Micromax has finally revealed the pricing of the smartphone and it’s been priced at Rs 3,499. The mobile is available through all major online stores including Amazon India [amazon.in/Bharat2] and Flipkart [Flipkart.com/Bharat2].

After touted for a month, Indian mobile vendor Micromax has launched it’s affordable 4G VoLTE smartphone – Micromax Bharat 2. As its a budget mobile it packs budget hardware. On a quick glance, the mobile features Spreadtrum SoC, expandable storage option, dual-SIM and most importantly 4G LTE with VoLTE support.

Micromax has not yet announced the pricing and availability of Bharat 2. As per various mobile retailers, the mobile has an MRP printed as Rs 3750 but probably be sold at a discount price of Rs 3,499 or lower. Currently, you get only the light gold colour option for the mobile.

Specification and Features

As said earlier, the Micromax Bharat 2 is a budget smartphone so it packs budget hardware parts. The mobile feels quite plasticky with its polycarbonate body, but it’s rigid and tough. On the front there is no physical home button, instead, you get capacitive touch buttons on the front bottom. The mobile flaunts a 4-inch WVGA 480×800 display.

Under the hood, the Micromax Bharat 2 is powered by a 1.3GHz Spreadtrum SC9832 quad-core processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. To store your media content the mobile carries 4GB of internal storage. You can easily expand the storage up to 32GB via microSD card.

Coming to photography section, the Micromax Bharat 2 boast a 2-megapixel camera on the back which features LED flash support. On the front, the mobile houses a VGA camera for taking selfies. For connectivity, the mobile supports 4G LTE network that works with every Indian telcos 4G band. In addition, the mobile also supports VoLTE, which allows you to make HD voice and video calls. Other connectivity options include 3G and 2G network support, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The phone runs on a bit old Android v6.0 Marshmallow OS with minimal skin over the top.

If you remember another Indian mobile vendor Swipe Technologies launched its cheapest 4G smartphone – Swipe Konnect Neo 4G. The mobile flaunts exactly the same hardware of Micromax Bharat 2 but with a much cheaper price of Rs 2,999.
