First announced way back in January 2018, Indian mobile vendor Micromax has finally and officially launched its Android Oreo (Go Edition) smartphone in India – the Micromax Bharat Go. With a moderate hardware inside, the phone still offers blazing fast performance, thanks to the super optimised Android OS it runs on.

Micromax Bharat Go is originally priced at an affordable price tag of Rs 4,399. However, the company has partnered with Bharti Airtel under the telcos Mera Pehla Smartphone initiative to offer a cashback of Rs 2000. Thus you could essentially get the mobile for Rs 2,399.

Better than the hardware, the Micromax Bharat Go shines in the new Android Oreo (Go Edition) operating system. The super optimized version of Android built by Google for phones with 1GB RAM or less. Well, it doesn’t hold back as you get full access to Google Play Store, from where you could install your favourite apps like Facebook, WhatsApp, Twitter and more. There is also special Go apps like Youtube Go, Google Go, Google Maps Go which is specially optimized for this OS. Back to hardware part, Micromax Bharat Go got a decent built quality which is mostly plastic shell. The mobile flaunts a 4.5-inch FWVGA display with screen resolution of 480 by 854 pixels. Under the hood, its powered by quad-core MediaTek MT6737M processor paired with 1GB of RAM. The mobile comes with 8GB of internal storage, which you can further expand up to 128GB using microSD card.

Micromax Bharat Go boasts a 5-megapixel back camera as well as a front selfie camera. Both rear and front camera units come with flash support making low-light photography easy. As for connectivity, the mobile support 4G LTE connectivity on both SIM cards (Dual SIM) with VoLTE capability. Other connectivity options include 3G and 2G network support, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4 and GPS. Finally fuelling the device is a 2000mAh battery.
