Got an MI TV? Then it is time to update that single software which makes the whole smart TV experience immersive. Xiaomi has announced an update for its Android TV software PatchWall, which gets its version bumped up to PatchWall 3.4. Those who may not know, PatchWall is the launcher that sits on top of Android TV OS of Xiaomi’s Mi Smart TVs.

In the new PatchWall 3.4 update, Xiaomi is bringing in new features along with background optimisation. When talking about new features, the update adds a new User Centre, an immersive Carousel and most importantly live TV section.

What is new in PatchWall 3.4?

First to the interesting update in PatchWall 3.4 – Live Channels. As you may have guessed, these section curates live TV channels from across different OTT apps and services. Sound familiar? Recently Amazon also added a similar feature to its Fire TV devices.

Live Channels in PatchWall shows contents from provides like Sun Nxt, EpicON, Hungama, SonyLIV, Discovery+ and others. You could choose live tv channels to watch based on genres like Entertainment, News, Music, Kinds, Devotional, Movies, Sports and Regional channels. Besides, you could also find live TV channels from different Indian regional languages. Off course to watch most of these live TV channels you will need to take individual premium, or paid subscription to above said OTT apps.

Next in line is the User Centre, which is a personalised page in PatchWall. These include custom watchlist and recommendations based on your preferences. Another addition in PatchWall 3.4 is the new Immersive Carousel, which adds big posters of TV shows and Movies within the content recommendation.

So when will my MI TV get the update? Xiaomi is rolling out the PatchWall 3.4 update to all supported MI TVs in a phased manner. So, expect the update to reach your MI TV in the coming weeks.
