More power, more performance, extra security, vibrant display, premium build, smart capture camera and true 4G. That’s the new LYF Water 7s android smartphone launched by Reliance Retail’s subsidiary consumer electronics arm LYF brand. It’s the budget-friendly version of the earlier launched LYF Water 7 smartphone.

First, to the pricing the LYF Water 7s comes with a mid-range price tag of Rs 7,499. The mobile will be available at Reliance Digital, Digital Xpress Mini, and other third-party retail stores across India. Along with the smartphone, you can avail the Reliance Jio ‘Happy New Year Offer’, which offers unlimited voice calling, messaging and 4G data benefits.

LYF Water 7s Specification & features

Design-wise LYF Water 7s looks way similar to the LYF Water 7, but with minor changes on the build material. The Water 7s got a sporty look with curved edges and a textured rear finish. The mobile flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD IPS LCD display with a pixel density of 400 ppi. Under the hood, the mobile is powered by a 1.3GHz octa-core MT6753 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM and Mali T720 MP1 GPU. To store all your media contents the mobile comes with 16GB of internal storage. You can further expand the storage up to 64GB using microSD card.

LYF Water 7s launched with FHD display, 13MP camera, 4G VoLTE

The LYF Water 7s got a 13-megapixel rear camera with a LED Flash support and comes with 8 smart modes. On the front, the mobile comes with a 5-megapixel selfie camera that has 88-degree wide angle view. Both cameras come with 6X digital zoom and the back camera can record full HD videos at 30 FPS.

For connectivity, the dual-SIM capable LYF Water 7s supports true 4G LTE that works with all Indian 4G bands. It also comes with full VoLTE support for HD voice and video calling. Other connectivity options include 3G and 2G networks, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB OTG. Adding an extra layer of security, the mobile got fingerprint sensor on the back. In addition, it also comes with ‘Emergency rescue’ feature that sends GPS coordinates to friend and family while holding the Volume up and Volume down keys. It’s part of government initiative where all new mobiles launching in India to have a panic button configured.
