Yet another affordable 4G LTE android smartphone from LYF brand and this time with better build quality and more regional language support. The Reliance Retail’s subsidiary company and Indian mobile vendor LYF has added another affordable 4G smartphone under it’s FLAME series – LYF Flame 5.
Interestingly LYF has priced the Flame 5 at Rs 3,999, the same price tag of recently launched Flame 3, Flame 4 and Flame 6. The mobile is currently available through offline Reliance Digital retail stores across India.
Don’t expect too much power with a super affordable smartphone. The LYF Flame 5 smartphone flaunts a 4-inch WVGA display with Asahi glass protection and powered by a 1.5 GHz Quad Core processor that’s coupled with 512MB RAM.
LYF Flame 5 got 4GB of inbuilt storage that can be expanded further up to 32GB using microSD cards. On the back, the mobile comes with a 5-megapixel camera with LED flash support and on the front a 2-megapixel camera. The back camera offers an array of shooting modes including HDR, Panorama, Face Detection, Smile Shutter, Burst Mode, Slow Motion Video, Metering, ISO, White Balance and Anti-Banding.
On the connectivity side, LYF Flame 5 got dual SIM capability with true 4G that can support all Indian 4G bands along with VoLTE (HD voice and Video calls) support. Other connectivity options include 3G and 2G network support, WiFi and Bluetooth.
Another plus point of Flame 5 is the support of over ten Indian languages. One can can chat, type and read in the language of their choice.

According to a research report within four months of operation, LYF branded smartphones have become the fifth largest smartphone vendor in India. The company has launched smartphones under high-end LYF Earth series, LYF Water 1, LYF Water 2 and LYF Water 5 smartphones under the Water series and budget-friendly smartphones under LYF Flame and LYF Wind series 4G smartphones.
