It’s time to be supertained with a supertainment smartphone! Taking part in government’s “Make in India” initiative, the Chinese mobile vendor LeEco has launched its first made in India smartphone, the Letv Le 1s (Eco).
Supporting more than ten different India regional languages, Le 1s (Eco) packs everything one need in a mid-range affordable smartphone. Priced at Rs 10,999 the smartphone will go on sale exclusively at Flipkart starting from 2PM on May 12th, 2016.
The main highlight of Le 1s (Eco) is the Le Ecosystem, that brings curated contents like music, videos, live TV and more in partnership with content providers.
The smartphone will be bundled with Le ViDi that includes video-on-demand with Eros Now integration offering more than 2,000 movies in 10 different Indian languages. Le Live, on the other hand, offers live TV streaming integrated with YuppTV that comes with more than 100 live channels. For music lovers, there is the Le Music that comes with Hungama integration offering high-quality music on every genre. To backup all your photos, videos and documents, there is LeEco Drive that comes with 5TB of cloud storage.
Thought everything to be free? guess what, Le Ecosystem will be membership services with subscription fees of Rs 490 per month or Rs 4,900 per year. As an introductory offer user will get a one-year membership to the content services for free.
Coming back to the mobile specification LeEco Letv Le 1s (Eco) is essentially the same Le 1s, but completely made in India. It got a full-metal unibody design that comes with bezel-less ID which offers a premium look and feels for the 7.6-mm-thin smartphone. Yet the smartphone weighs just 169 grams on hand.
Le 1s (Eco) flaunts a 5.5inch in-cell full HD IPS LCD display that comes with 403 ppi. Under the hood, the smartphone got a 1.85 GHz MediaTek Helio X10 Octa Core processor coupled with 3GB RAM and carries 32GB on internal storage.
On the photography side, Le 1s (Eco) got a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. On the connectivity side, the smartphone got dual SIM capability with 4G LTE, 3G and 2G network support along with WiFi, USB Type-C port and Bluetooth 4.1.
