Karbonn launches K9 Kavach 4G with fingerprint sensor, BHIM, 4G VoLTE

Pushing ahead with country’s initiative towards a digital cashless economy, Indian mobile vendor Karbonn has launched K9 Kavach 4G smartphone with built-in BHIM app. Other than effortless cash transaction with BHIM app, the mobile also features a fingerprint sensor, HD display, 5-megapixel camera with flash on both sides and 4G with VoLTE support.

Keeping the cost in the affordable range, the Karbonn K9 Kavach 4G comes with a price tag of Rs 5,290. The mobile will be available through all major online and offline mobile retail shops across India. If you are looking for some stylish looks, the mobile will be available in Coffee Brown, Champagne and Black colour options.

Karbonn K9 Kavach 4G Spec and Features

Karbonn K9 Kavach 4G features a metal unibody design with 9.6 mm thickness and weighs 161.3 gms. The mobile flaunts a 5-inch HD IPS 1280 x 720 display. Under the hood, the device is powered by a 1.25GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. To store all your media content, the mobile carries around 8GB of internal storage. You can further expand the storage up to 32GB using microSD card.

On the photography side, the Karbonn K9 Kavach 4G comes with 5-megapixel autofocus back camera and 5-megapixel front selfie camera. Both this came modules are accompanied by LED flash. As for connectivity, the mobile support 4G LTE network that works with every Indian 4G band. Other connectivity options include 3G and 2G networks, Wi-Fi 802.11 B/G/N and Bluetooth. The whole device is fueled by 2300 mAh Li-ion battery that offers a standby time of around 300 hours.

One of the main USP of Karbonn K9 Kavach 4G is the fingerprint sensor placed below the back camera. The device comes with in-built fingerprint security feature called ‘Kavach’ that secures your financial transactions, banking details and other monetary transactions through the BHIM app. You can also use the fingerprint sensor to do certain functions like capture images via camera, speed dial etc.
