Well, when the competition gets intensify you tend to follow what your competitor is doing. Same to be said about the current Indian telecom market. After Airtel and Reliance Jio revised and announced new affordable plans under the Rs 199 price range, the baton is now in the hands of Idea Cellular. The telco has essentially revised its Rs 198 unlimited pack and made it open market.

Idea Cellular revised Rs 198 unlimited pack for its prepaid subscribers now offer 1GB of data benefits per day. Earlier the same pack only offered 1GB of data for the entire month. The validity of the pack remains the same at 28 days.

In addition to the new data usage benefits, the Rs 198 unlimited pack also offers unlimited voice calling to any network and anywhere in India. Even while you’re on national roaming, you can make unlimited phone calls. However, Idea has certain limits on the unlimited voice calls. You could only call 100 unique callers in a week or maximum 250 minutes in a day or 1000 minutes in a week. Anything above this limit will cost your extra money.

The above-unlimited pack seems to be available to selected prepaid customers in selected telecom circles. So, you may need to contact Idea Cellular’s customer care to know if it’s available to your telecom circle. Also, the telco is offering extra 1GB of data if you recharge the pack via its official website or Idea app.

The new tariff war was started by Airtel yesterday only, by revising its Rs 199 unlimited combo pack to offer 1GB data per day. Reliance Jio acted quickly and announced the Happy New Year 2018 Plans. Instead of one, Jio launches two plans for Rs 199 and Rs 299 offering more data and other benefits than its competitors.
