In a bid to take on Reliance Jio, the Indian telecom operator Idea cellular has launched new data pack for its Postpaid subscribers offering 1GB of 4G data benefits per day. The new postpaid pack will be offered as an add-on pack to your existing postpaid monthly subscription.

Idea will be offering the new postpaid pack at a monthly rental of Rs 300. It will be available to pan-India postpaid users who are subscribed to any rental plan of Rs 199 and above. The operator will also be offering up to 100 percent discount on the pack for first three months of subscription.

Idea Cellular launches 1GB of 4G data per Day Postpaid Pack

Under the new postpaid pack, you will get 1GB of high-speed 4G data benefits per day. As we mentioned, Idea will be offering a discount for the first three months of subscription. If you are subscribed to rental plans of Rs 499 and above, you can get the new postpaid pack priced at Rs 300 for free. For users, under rental plans of Rs 349 to Rs 498 can avail the pack for Rs 50. Finally, for users with rental plans of Rs 199 to Rs 348, can get the pack for Rs 200. Do note that, after the first three months you need to pay the full Rs 300 for the pack.

The above postpaid pack will be available for Postpaid users to subscribe till 30th April 2017. Once subscribed you can avail the 1GB data per day benefits till 31st March 2018. Also, the 1GB data per day data benefits will only be available on 4G handsets. If you are using a non-4G handset, then you will only get 3GB of data benefits for a month.

Recently Idea Cellular has announced the merger with Vodafone India. The new entity will now displace Airtel from its first spot to become the largest telecom operator in India. It will have a combined mobile subscriber base of around 400 million.
