Reliance Jio launch has made the existing dominant telecom operators to think differently. Slashing voice tariff on one side and now deeply cutting down data tariff on the other.
India’s third largest telecom operator, Idea Cellular has started offering 10GB of 4G data benefits at the price of 1GB. That’s for Rs 255 you can get 1GB of 4G data benefits and additional 9GB of 4G/3G data benefits.
The promotional 4G data offer is available for Idea’s pan-India prepaid and postpaid customers who have purchased a new 4G smartphone recently.
What’s the offer? The ‘Handset Upgrade Pack 255’ which it’s been called by Idea, offers its subscribers who have recently purchased a 4G smartphone with extra data benefits. The pack includes 9GB of 4G/3G data benefits, which is in addition to the existing 1GB of 4G data benefits on a recharge of Rs 255. The extra 4G data benefits come with a validity of 28 days.
How to activate Idea’s Handset Upgrade Pack
- If you got a new 4G smartphone, then you can subscribe to the Handset Upgrade Pack.
- To avail the offer, you need to visit Idea’s internet offer page [i4all.ideacellular.com] on your mobile browser.
- Verify your Idea mobile number with OTP and activate the pack on your Idea connection.
- After successfully subscribing to the Handset upgrade offer, you will need to do a 4G data recharge of Rs 255 (the price of 1GB 4G data pack may vary for different telecom circle) .
- Your account will be then credited with 10GB of 4G/3G data benefits with a validity of 28 days.
- That’s 1GB of 4G data benefits from the Rs 255 pack + the extra 9GB of promotional data benefits.
Do note that the complimentary 9 GB of data benefits can be availed across all telecom circle. But if you are on Idea 3G network then the extra 9GB data benefits can only be used as Night Data or between 12AM and 6AM.
Idea subscribers can avail the Handset Upgrade offer for three times till 31st December 2016. So that’s 30GB of high-speed 4G data benefits at the cost of just 3GB or Rs 765 for three months.
Recently Airtel introduced unlimited 4G/3G data benefits for a period of 90 days. The offer includes high-speed 4G data usage with a FUP limit of 30GB.
