The clean metal finish design comes with a very lightweight body and ultra-slim 7mm thickness. The fingerprint sensor is now hidden beneath the front screen glass adding more to the beauty.
This time you won’t complain about the colours you are getting. Huawei has partnered with the Pantone Color Institute to bring around eight colour options. This includes the Dazzling Blue, Dazzling Gold, Greenery, Rose Gold, Mystic Silver, Graphite Black, Prestige Gold, and Ceramic White.
The Huawei P10 flaunts a 5.1-inch full HD 1080p display, whereas the Huawei P10 Plus got a bigger 5.5-inch QHD 2K display to back it. On both mobiles, the screen is well protected with Corning Gorilla 5 Glass protection. Under the hood, the mobiles run Huawei’s own Kirin 960 processor coupled with up to 6GB of RAM. It also packs the Mali-G71 MP8 GPU which boasts an 180 percent improvement in performance and a 40 percent increase in power efficiency.
The hardware runs on Android Nougat OS with highly optimised EMUI 5.1 skin over the top. The skin is layered over the Huawei Ultra Memory machine learning algorithm, that learns how users use their phones and accordingly tweaks the performance. For storing all your media content the Huawei P10 comes with 64GB of internal storage. Whereas the Huawei P10 Plus comes in both 64GB and 128GB internal storage variants.
The Huawei P10 and P10 Plus are built for photographers. Both mobiles packs a Leica dual-camera setup on the back with a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor, and a 12-megapixel RGB sensor. The Huawei P10 comes with Leica Dual-Camera 2.0 and Huawei P10 Plus got the Leica Dual-Camera 2.0 Pro Edition. Well, the difference in the Pro Edition is the addition of Leica SUMMILUX-H lens with a larger f/1.8 aperture and higher optical capability. Whereas the Leica Dual-Camera 2.0 features SUMMILUX-H lens with a smaller f/2.0 aperture.
Other than that, both Huawei P10 and P10 Plus back camera comes with enhanced fusion algorithms. The camera features 3D facial detection technology, dynamic illumination, depth-of-field algorithm, and a natural bokeh effect. The bokeh effect is available in both RGB and monochrome modes, and you can actually refocus the image after its been shot. In the front for both mobiles, we got a Leica 8-megapixel camera with f/1.9 aperture.
Another addition to the mobiles is a mobile editing tool that’s Huawei co-developed with GoPro. It can create a dynamic video of your captured images and videos complete with transitions and music tracks.
Both Huawei P10 and P10 Plus comes with 4×4 MIMO, that’s four physical antennas and supports the 4.5G network. This mobile will support 4G LTE ( supports all Indian 4G bands) along with VoLTE for HD voice and video calling. For faster Wi-Fi speed coverage, the mobiles feature 2X2 Wi-Fi MIMO or two antennas. Another feature is the Huawei HiGeo technology which combines multi-sensory predictive tracking and offline big data to enable GPS and cell network location detection.
On the way, both mobiles come with the dual-SIM option. Other connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.2, USB-C, and NFC. The Huawei P10 comes with a 3,200 mAh battery, whereas the P10 Plus packs a bigger 3,750 mAh battery. Both comes with Huawei SuperCharge for fast and safe charging.
