HTC recently unveiled its high-end smartphone HTC One in India. The phone has an aesthetically designed body and full-metal uni-body design. Though the metals add extra weight to the device, but users won’t regret it once they get used to the phone. The phone offers all the latest specifications available in the smartphone market today. It runs on a 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor along with 2 GB of RAM and Android 4.1.2. The SD card slot is not provided in the phone and the battery too is not removable.

In terms of design, the phone is extremely thin, rectangular and flat. The phone with its metallic skin is available in two colors: black and silver. With 4.7 inch LCD display screen, it provides an improved picture quality and a pleasant viewing experience. The display has plenty of vibrant colors, wide viewing angels and has a lot of brightness. The phone has the power of Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean and one can enjoy a wide range of software, services and apps available from the Google Play Store. Sense UI from HTC is upgraded for this device. Though, the difference is not much palpable. HTC introduces BlinkFeed– a main home screen with dynamic tiles that display content from a wide variety of news outlets, blogs and websites. This phone also has IR blaster on its top edge. When used with HTC Sense TV app and HTC remote software, one will be able to control their TV’s with this phone while keeping tabs on social programs. The HTC remote app combines TV, cable box, and home theater remote controllers into a single, easy to use remote control.

Some other useful apps include: task list maker, voice recorder and a Kid mode. In Kid mode, the handset is locked along with services and apps and lets a special kiddie view with age appropriate content.

Another feature to look out for HTC One is its speakers. The speakers on each side of the screen render an upgraded quality of music experience. It is paired with an onboard amplifier and Beats technology, called BoomSound. There is a 4 megapixel main camera and 2.1 megapixel front facing camera, the camera is equipped with LED Flash and uses HTC’s Ultrapixel sensor.

Overall, the phone has a sturdy metal body, powerful Quad-core processor and a pleasing 4.7-inch 1080 ppiscreen.It runs on the latest version of Android Jelly Bean, captures good pictures, and a feature-packed camera app.With no microSD card slot, the memory storage capacity decreases. Also the battery is irreplaceable. The BlinkFeed news reader app provided by HTC cannot be completely removed. Apart from these points, HTC One is well-designed phone.
