In the Honor global launch event at London, Huawei has brought to light two new devices viz Honor 7X and Honor View 10. The Honor 7X boasts of premium features and cutting-edge technology at a global best price of Rs 12,999 onwards. Let’s see what Huawei is offering in Honor 7X for this budget price tag.
Honor 7X has a 32/64 GB ROM for storage and is powered by 4GB RAM coupled with Kirin 659 chipset. For shutterbugs, the 7X has a 16MP + 2MP dual camera and 8MP selfie camera. The selling point will be it’s 18:9 full view 5.93-inch display having 2160 x 1080 FHD+ resolution.
Honor 7X has a classic aluminium metal design with blue, black and gold attire which fuses with the 2.5D curved display. The edge-to-edge all screen design and the bottom firing speaker will offer immersive viewing experience for movie and game buffs. With the tap of a single key, you can run multiple apps in split screen mode. Even with such a big screen, the 7X is sleek and compact to fit perfectly in everyone’s palm. It also has the 0.25s fast unlocking fingerprint sensor at the apt spot on the rear side. The device measures 156.5mm x 75mm x 7.6mm and weighs just 165g including battery.
Honor 7X runs EMUI 5.1 based on Android 7.0 and will be blazing fast with Kirin 659 octa-core processor. It comes with a hybrid SIM slot to equip SD card up to 128GB and works in dual standby mode. For powering all this it packs a non-removable Li-Ion 3340 mAh battery. For added protection, it has Corning Gorilla glass and Four-corner safety Airbag design.
The dual lens 16MP + 2MP rear camera allows portrait mode, ultra-fast focus with PDAF and has LED flash. The 8MP selfie camera also comes with portrait selfie mode, gesture control and other effects. The rear camera is capable of recording 1080p videos at 30fps.
Honor 7X supports GSM, WCDMA and 4G VoLTE networks. For local connectivity Honor 7X has WiFi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and USB 2.0. Honor also brings a WiFi bridge feature which lets you use your mobile as a WiFi router and connect up to 4 devices. For geotagging and locating, 7X has GPS/AGPS/Glonass.
Honor 7X can be purchased from Honor India store or Amazon India starting 7th December 2017. The 4GB/32GB variant costs Rs 12,999 and 4GB/64GB variant costs Rs 15,999.
