Looking for an affordable android smartphone that features most of the cool stuff you could find in pricey phones? For example, faster Snapdragon SoC, dual cameras, display with 18:9 aspect ratio, fingerprint scanner and Face Unlock, 4G with VoLTE support. Well, Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has launched two new android smartphones in India – Honor 7A and Honor 7C boasting all the above features.

The Honor 7A is available only in one variant packing 3GB RAM + 32GB of storage and will retail for Rs 8,999. It will be available exclusively via Flipkart and Honor’s Indian online store starting 29th may 2018.

The Honor 7C will be available in two variants, one with 3GB RAM + 32GB storage is priced at Rs 9,999. Whereas, the more powerful variant with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage will retail at a price tag of Rs 11,999. This smartphone will be available exclusively via Amazon India and Honor store starting 31st May 2018.

Honor 7A Features and Specification

Let’s quickly run down the features and specification of Honor 7A. The smartphone is mainly a successor to last year’s Honor 6A. It boasts bezel-less 5.7-inch HD+ (1440 by 720 pixels) IPS LCD display with a cinematic 18:9 aspect ratio. The device is powered by 1.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor coupled with 3GB of RAM. For storage, the phone comes with 32GB of internal storage. You can further expand the storage up to 256GB using microSD card, which gets its own dedicated slot. The phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0 OS.

Honor 7A with Snapdragon SoC, Dual Camera

Coming to photography, the Honor 7A sports a dual camera at the rear. It’s a combination of 13-megapixel primary sensor and 2-megapixel secondary sensor, which offers realistic depth-of-field effects and sharply focused images. For selfie addicts, the phone comes with an 8-megapixel front camera featuring f/2.2 aperture and advanced adjustable selfie toning light. The front camera also doubles for face unlock security feature.

Coming to connectivity, the Honor 7A features separate Dual SIM slots which supports 4G LTE with VoLTE. Other connectivity options include 3G and 2G network options, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.2. For audiophiles, the phone packs SMART PA amplifier and turbo-charged speaker units which can deliver audio as loud as 88 dB. If you’re using headphones, then the device offers real-time audio monitoring and supports SWS3.1 virtual bass. it also features dual Bluetooth, allowing you to connect two devices via Bluetooth at the same time. Finally, duelling the phone is a 3000 mAh battery with a full charging time of 3 hours.

Honor 7C Features and Specification

The Honor 7C is way better equipped than Honor 7A. It boasts the classic rounded-edge design with a sleek metal body. For colour choices, you get to choose from blue, black and gold colour options. The mobile flaunts a 5.99-inch HD+ (1440 by 720 pixels) FullView display featuring 18:9 aspect ratio. It’s powered by 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor paired with either 3GB or 4GB of RAM. The phone comes in either 32GB or 64GB of internal storage options along with a dedicated microSD card slot to expand the storage up to 256GB. The phone runs on Android 8.0 Oreo-based EMUI 8.0 OS.

Honor 7C featuring Snapdragon SoC, Dual Camera

In the photography department, the Honor 7C features the same dual rear camera combination of Honor 7A. However, Honor 7C packs a better 8-megapixel front selfie camera featuring f/2.0 wide aperture and backed up AI technology. There is a fingerprint sensor placed at the back of the device. Connectivity and battery options of Honor 7C also remains the same as that of Honor 7A.
