Then Huawei’s sub-brand Honor has launched Honor 6X smartphone in India with a similar dual camera setup and in the way affordable price range. On a quick glance, the mobile features dual lens camera sensors, octa core processor with up to 4GB of RAM, full HD display, and 4G LTE with VoLTE support.
Touting to be the most affordable dual camera smartphone currently in the Indian market, the Honor 6X comes in two variants. The first Honor 6X variant with 3GB of RAM and 32GB storage is priced at Rs 12,999. Whereas, the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant is priced at Rs 15,999. Both mobile variants will be available exclusively via Amazon India starting 2nd February 2017. The Honor 6X got a premium metal frosted body with smooth curves and slim profile of just 8.2mm. If you are looking for extra style options, then the mobile comes in Gray, Gold, and Silver colors. The mobile flaunts a 5.5-inch full HD 1920p x 1080 IPS display covered with 2.5D curved glass on top. The screen can boast brightness of up to 450nit and comes with a pixel density of 403 PPI. Under the hood, the mobile is powered by an Octa-Core (4×2.1 GHz+4×1.7 GHz) Huawei Kirin 655 processor. This processor is coupled with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The storage can be further expanded up to 128GB using microSD card.
Dual Lens Camera
Now about the most highlighted feature of the smartphone. The Honor 6X comes with dual lens camera on the rear. This includes the 12-megapixel sensor with Phase Detection Auto Focus and a SONY IMX386 sensor. Whereas the 2-megapixel sensor is for capturing depth information. The back camera as a whole allows you to have a wide aperture range from f/0.95 to f/16. This lets you decide the focus you need which each shot and can easily capture those professional-grade blurred bokeh background effect.
For selfie addicts, the mobile comes with an 8-megapixel front camera. It features 1.25um pixel size, 77degree wide angle lens, and a Prim ISP. The camera app which comes along with the mobile got self-adaptive skin-color detection and an auto portrait touch-up software for creating those stylish selfies. To further help you in capturing selfies during the night or low-light condition the mobile includes an on-screen flash mode.
Connectivity and Features
On the connectivity side, the Honor 6X comes with 4G LTE that supports all Indian 4G bands. For making that HD voice and video calls the mobile supports VoLTE. Other connectivity options include 3G and 2G network support, WiFi 802.11b/g/n 2.4 GHz, and Bluetooth 4.1. For added security, the smartphone includes a fingerprint sensor embedded on the back that can unlock your mobile in 0.3 seconds. You can also integrate additional functionality to the fingerprint sensor. For example, you can swipe left and right to browse photo album or take a selfie with a single finger tap. Honor 6X runs on Android Marshmallow operating system with Huawei EMUI 4.1 skin over the top.
