Google announced Google+Games on its Official blog saying ” Today we’re adding games to Google+. With the Google+ project, we want to bring the nuance and richness of real-life sharing to the web. But sharing is about more than just conversations. The experiences we have together are just as important to our relationships. We want to make playing games online just as fun, and just as meaningful, as playing in real life.”

David Glazer, Engineering Director said on Google+blog that “Following today’s launch, I’d like to give you a preview of how we’re going to roll out the platform. Because we want to provide both a great user experience and a great developer experience, we’re focusing on quality before quantity. We will continue to add new partners and new features in small steps, starting with today’s release of the games APIs to a small number of developers. We’re keeping a close eye on feedback, and are eager to open up more access as soon as it’s ready.”

Games include famous Angry Birds, Diamond Dash, Bejeweled Blitz and more. To play, just click on the Games button at the top of your Google+ stream, then choose the game you would like to play. You can see game updates from your circles, check out the games and feeds on what your friends are playing and browse game invites. Your game accomplishments occur only on the Google+Games page, that means no gaming spam ( updates and others ) on your regular timeline as in Facebook.

Google says the Google+Games will be rolling-out gradually to users as Google now currently testing it with a small number of Google+ users, so you may not find that Games icon on your Google+. If you try to view the Google+Games page now you will be restricted with a “check back soon” page :).
