Google India has officially launched it’s Google Daydream View VR headset in India. The VR headset also comes with a controller which you can use to interact with the VR world.

Well, Google Daydream View VR headset won’t come cheap as that of Google Cardboard. The Daydream View VR headset with the slate controller is priced at Rs 6,499 and is available exclusively through Flipkart. As a launch day offer, Flipkart is giving first 30 customers free Google Chromecast 2 and first 50 customers, Google Play Store Credit worth Rs 500. There is also other bank and PhonePe offers you can take advantage of.

Google Daydream VR headset features

To get started with Google Daydream VR headset you need a compatible Daydream-ready Android smartphone. Some of the supported mobiles include Google Pixel, Moto Z and Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. If you have any of the above mobiles, you can just snap it on the VR headset and start experiencing the VR world. The headset will communicate wirelessly with the phone and even adjusts the vision automatically using an auto-alignment system via NFC.

Google has developed Daydream View VR headset working with clothing material makers to get that soft fabric feel instead of the generic plastic stuff that every other headset has. The result of which is a soft textile-like finish for the headset complete with a few different colour options which include slate, snow and a rather different crimson. It’s also eyeglass friendly for those folks out there with prescription glasses.
