Yahoo owned photo sharing site Flickr gets a major overhaul in terms of design layout, storage space and get’s a new Android app. Flickr now offering 1TB (1,024GB) of free cloud storage to all users for uploading dizzying number of photos and videos.

In addition of the massive extra storage, the original Flickr website got a complete design overhaul bringing photos to the forefront again. Whether it’s a sweeping landscape or a family portrait, every photo on Flickr will be now more spectacular. The new Activity Feed combines users friends’ recent uploads with activity on users own photos, and all in a beautiful design that lets them share and interact right on the page. Flickr allows users to share their photos to Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Tumblr. The new photostream shows off users photos in a seamless layout with a customizable cover photo and high-res profile picture.

There’s also a new slideshow mode that beautifully showcases photos, which combines elegant transitions and facial detection technology to make sure the key elements in every photo are highlighted. With 1Terabyte of storage capacity users can upload photos with size up to 200MB and 1080p HD videos with size up to 1GB that supports video playback of up to 3 minutes.

In addition to the design overhaul, Flickr also launched its app for Android smartphones and tablets which is available for free on Google Play, offering following features –
