When Jolla inspired us earlier with the launch of MeeGo based Sailfish OS and an innovative User Interface, we loved to get hands-on one of the smartphones running it. Now it’s the time, Jolla has unveiled its first Smartphone running the Sailfish OS which features 4.5inch Estrade display, Dual core processing power and 4G LTE connectivity. The currently un-named smartphone is up for pre-order at a price of €399 (roughly Rs 29,000).
The smartphone features Jolla’s unique back covers with the software, magically the software changes to match your selected colour and design. It spots a 4.5 inch Estrade display with Jolla original design and it’s powered by a Dual core processor and got a internal storage capacity of 16GB with microSD card support. On the rear it features a 8 megapixel camera which supports auto focusing and comes with 4G, WiFI connectivity options. At the core of Jolla is Sailfish, a mobile-optimized OS that has the flexibility of a unique, open platform which also supports Android apps.
Jolla plans to start shipping the device by the end of 2013 and it’s up for pre-order at 399 Euros.
