This Diwali, Govt owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) has introduced rate cutter special tariff vouchers (STV) as a promotional offer, rationalized Night Calling STVs and FRCs for its pan India Prepaid mobile customers. The promotional STV 35 & STV 48 offers reduced voice call rates on all local and STD voice calls.
Diwali promotional STV 35 offers customers with all local and STD voice calls to any network (BSNL or other telecom operators) at 20 paise per minute with a validity of 2 days. Voice STV 48 offers 80 minutes of local and STD voice calls to any network with a validity of 3 days and also its applicable while in national roaming. The promotional STV will be available till 17th November 2015.
To activate the STVs customers need to do a special recharge online or can SMS STV VOICE35 to 123 for activating STV 35 and SMS STV VOICE48 to 123 for activating STV 48 plan. Note that the STV rates may charge by Rs 1 to Rs 4 from telecom circle to circle, so do check before recharging.
Night Calling STVs as Combo vouchers
In an another offer BSNL has rationalised the Night Calling STVs as Combo vouchers offering extra usage value and also increasing the STV rates. For example – the night calling STV 29 has been revised to STV 39 offering 300 minutes of local and STD on-net (BSNL to BSNL) night calls and additionally Rs 9 talk time value with a validity of 30 days. Note that the STV rates may charge by Rs 1 to Rs 4 from telecom circle to circle, so do check before recharging.
Reduced the tariff rates on FRCs
BSNL has also reduced the tariff rates on first recharge coupons (FRC) – FRC 36 and FRC 37. FRC 36 which currently offers local and STD on-net and off-net calls at 8 paise per second will be now offered at 1 paisa per 3 seconds on local and STD on-net calls and 2 paise per 3 seconds on local and STD off-net calls. On the other hand, FRC 37 which currently offers local and STD on-net and off-net calls at 50 paise per minute will be now offered at 10 paise per minute on local and STD on-net calls and 30 paise per minute on local and STD off-net calls.
