First thing first, you shouldn’t pay your BSNL Landline or Broadband bills through Paytm and if you do so, your connection will be get disconnected (due to non-bill payment) and your money will be stuck with Paytm.

India Govt owned telecom operator, BSNL has released a circular, warning it’s users not to pay for their landline and broadband bills via Paytm. The reason, Paytm is not authorised to collect the bill payments for BSNL. So if you are paying through Paytm, your payment will not go through BSNL and it would cause disconnection of your service due to non-payment.

BSNL authorities have asked Paytm to remove the BSNL payment link from its services and it seems Paytm have already complied with the request. For those who have already used Paytm to pay the bills, will get a refund to their account. Users need to ensure that they pay the bills directly at any BSNL counter or any other authorized channel including BSNL’s official payment portal [portal2.bsnl.in].
