Our state-run telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced a new prepaid mobile plan – STV 147 as a promotional offer on the occasion of 74th Independence of India. We would say it’s the perfect monthly mobile plan which got an unlimited voice calling, adequate data and a month or 30 days validity.
BSNL STV 147 prepaid mobile plan offers unlimited free voice calling to both home and national roaming including MTNL roaming areas. However, there is a fair usage policy or FUP limit on voice calls with customers using more than 250 outgoing voice minutes (including local, STD and roaming (on-net and off-net)) in a day or 24 hour period will be charged as per their base plan tariff.
In addition to unlimited voice calls, the BSNL STV 147 packs 10GB of 3G or 4G data. After you exhaust this free data, the data usage will be charged as per you base plan tariff. Under this mobile plan, you will also get free BSNL tunes or caller tune. All these benefits will come with a validity of 30 days.

You could activate the BSNL STV 147 prepaid mobile plan through selfcare, by sending a message (SMS) – STV COMBO147 to 123. You could also recharge for the plan through CTOPUP, BSNL web portal or through any third-party mobile recharge stores.
Currently, BSNL Chennai (TamilNadu) telecom circle has announced this mobile prepaid plan, but we could expect it to be available to BSNL prepaid mobile customers pan India.
Aside from the new recharge plan, BSNL has withdrawn several mobile prepaid plans from the market. Some of them include – Patanjali plan (144/792/1584), EROS NOW 78, STV 551, STV 349, STV 447 and STV-247.
