Who said the government-owned telecom operators can’t match the money rich private telcos promotional schemes? To match up with Reliance Jio’s Prime membership plans and Airtel’s new unlimited bundled packs, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has revised it’s existing unlimited voice calling STVs or Combo STVs.
The revised combo STVs which start as low as Rs 99 remains one of the most affordable unlimited voice calling plan from any Indian telecom operator. The Combo STVs still offers pan-India Prepaid subscribers with unlimited voice calls to any network and to anywhere in India. The big change is that BSNL has added unlimited 3G data benefits in the plan.
What’s changed with the Combo STVs? The unlimited voice calling STV priced at Rs 99 that vary up to Rs 149 depending on your telecom circle comes with unlimited local and STD voice calls for BSNL to BSNL. In addition, you will now get 500MB of 3G data benefits with the STV. Earlier the combo STV offered only 300MB of monthly data benefits. Validity remains the same 28 days.
The major change is in the combo STV 339 which offers subscribers unlimited local and STD voice calls to any network and to anywhere in India. You now also get unlimited 3G data benefits with the STV. Earlier it was limited to 1GB for the entire month. But there is a fair usage policy (FUP) limit on both unlimited voice calls and unlimited data usage.
You will get unlimited local and STD voice calls to BSNL network (BSNL to BSNL), but the unlimited local and STD voice calls to other networks get limited with a daily FUP limit of 25 minutes. After the daily 25 minutes, you will be charged at 25 paise per minute. On unlimited 3G data usage, there is a daily FUP speed limit of 2GB. So for first 2GB of the day, you can use it at high-speed without any speed restriction. After 2GB the data speed will be limited to 80Kbps for rest of the day.
