BSNL reduces Free data Usage and Validity on 2G Mobile Internet for Prepaid Customers

India govt owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has revised its GPRS/EDGE tariff under 2G prepaid mobile services for pan India customers. Under this revised 2G mobile internet packs, BSNL has reduced the free data usage and validity of some plans.

BSNL provides 2G customers with four data STV’s which includes STV54, STV125, STV270 and STV300 suitable for every customers need. Under the revised plan BSNL has reduced the free data usage for following 2G data plans STV125 from 2GB to 1.5 GB, STV270 from 10GB to 5GB and STV300 from 8GB to 6GB. In addition BSNL has reduced the validity of its lowest 2G mobile internet pack of STV54 from 30 days to 25 days.

The above revised 2G mobile internet plans will be implemented with effect from 17.04.2013 in all telecom circles. Please note that the price for data STV’s above may be up to Rs.5 (+/-)  considering the local market condition and technical feasibility on different telecom circles.
