BSNL revises Tariff on ISD STVs and Optional ISD packs – Withdraws Shorter validity ISD STVs

The Govt run telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigma Ltd (BSNL) has revised its ISD voice call and International SMS packs for its pan India based PrePaid and PostPaid customers. Under this revision BSNL has withdrawn the shorter validity ISD Special Tariff Vouchers (STVs) that provide validity of 7 day and will only continue ISD STVs with validity of 30 day’s and more.

According to the revised ISD STVs customers can call their friends and family member’s in Canada, China, Singapore and U.S.A at Rs 1.49 per minute and send international SMS at Rs 3 per SMS with a recharge of Rs 41 (ISD STV 41) for PrePaid customers and Rs 40 for PostPaid customers with a validity of 30 days. On recharge of RS 23 (ISD STV 23) prepaid customers can call people in Australia, Bahrain, Indonesia and Kuwait at a call rate of Rs 6.49 per minute and send SMS at Rs 3 per SMS. On recharge of Rs 27 (ISD STV 27) customer can call their friends in Bangladesh, Malaysia, HongKong and Thailand at Rs 2.99 per minute and SMS at Rs 3 with a validity of 30 days. In addition the reduced ISD voice and International SMS rate will also be allowed while roaming in BSNL Network pan India.The above revised ISD tariff will be implemented with effect from 15th October 2013 for prepaid customers and from 1st November 2013 for postpaid Customers.

BSNL recently introduced My BSNL mobile application for Android and Windows Phone devices which offers subscribers to recharge their mobile connection, pay bills, manage their bill payment on GSM, CDMA, Landline and WiMax services.
