BSNL further extends Unlimited Broadband plan BB249, adds 5GB FUP limit

To attract more users to its ultra-affordable broadband network, the government-owned Internet service provider Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has further extended and revised its Experience Unlimited BB249 broadband plan.

The BB249 BSNL Broadband plan now been extended further for three months. That’s valid for all existing customers who already joined the plan and those who are still planning to join the broadband plan.

Further boosting the freebies, the BB249 BSNL Broadband plan now comes with new FUP data limit. You now get 5GB of data benefits at 2Mbps speed, before you hit the FUP speed limit. Earlier, the same plan offered only 1GB of data benefits at 2Mbps broadband speed. After you hit the FUP limit, the speed will get reduced to 1Mbps, but without any data cap. You still get to use unlimited data at the reduced speed of 1Mbps.

For voice benefits, the BB249 BSNL Broadband plan offers unlimited free calls between 9 PM to 7 AM and on all Sundays to any network in India. Further, pulse rate would be Rs 1 per pulse on calls to BSNL network and Rs 1.2 to other networks. The change in the BB249 broadband plan is available for pan-India customers, except Jammu & Kashmir and Andaman Nicobar circles. For new users, BSNL is waiving off installation charges on broadband connections.

Recently, BSNL upgrades the minimum download speed on all unlimited broadband plans to 4 Mbps. That’s double download speed from the 2 Mbps connection speed you currently get. That’s across all three broadband technologies – ADSL, VDSL and FTTH and across pan-India. The best part, the upgrade in speed will not cost you anything extra.
