Bharti Airtel, a leading global telecommunications company with operations in 19 countries across Asia and Africa, today announced the launch of ‘SMS Gyan’ – an innovative service that allows customers to conduct a search on any topic of interest by sending a keyword as SMS to 55444.
Upon sending an SMS query, Airtel mobile customers will instantaneously receive an SMS response with information on their topic of interest – which can vary to anything from general knowledge, lyrics of songs, meaning of a word, movie reviews, stock related info and weather. These SMS responses are automatically extracted from the relevant and credible online data sources.
This unique SMS based service is now available for customers across parts of India including Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.
Airtel mobile customers can leverage SMS Gyan by paying Re. 1 per query or opt for monthly subscription and send unlimited queries priced at Rs 30 for 30 days. Queries with no search results are not charged to customers.
