Expanding its ZenFone Max product range, Asus has launched ZenFone Max Pro M2 (ZB630KL) and ZenFone Max M2 (ZB632KL) in India. Both these smartphones have striking similarities, yet distinct hardware combination. Both bear larger 19:9 displays with notch cut, dual rear cameras with AI support, Snapdragon chipsets and bigger battery units.

On the software front, both these smartphones run on Android 8.1 Oreo with stock UI. However, the company has promised an update to Android 9.0 Pie from these phones by January 2019. Both smartphones also feature a dedicated microSD card slot along with dual SIM slots. You also get LED soft light flash up front for those bright selfies.

Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 Specifications and Features

Let’s quickly run down the specifications and features of Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2. The phone got a premium design featuring 3D glass-like rear panel with wave design. In the front, the phone flaunts a 6.26-inch FHD+ IPS display (2280 by 1080) and its protected with 2.5 curved Corning Gorilla Glass 6. However, you get the famous notch on the display, which is also one of the smallest full-function notch cut. Coming to the camera part, the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 sports a dual rear camera setup. It’s a combination of 12-megapixel primary sensor boasting Sony IMX486 sensor, f/1.8 aperture, EIS, 6P lens and 1.25-micron pixels. Along with a 5-megapixel second camera dedicated for depth sensing. The rear camera also features 4K video recording support, and an LED flash module. There are AI additions to the camera, like the AI scene detection, which could automatically and intelligently know what you’re shooting and choose from 13 scenes. There is a dual internal microphone in the phone with ASUS Noise Reduction Technology which allows you to record super fine audio.

Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2 would come in three variants based on the RAM and storage combination. The base variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage is priced at Rs 12,999, whereas the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant get a price tag of Rs 14,999. The top-end model with 6GB RAM and 64GB storage comes with a price tag of Rs 16,999. It would come with Blue and Titanium colour variants, and available exclusively via Flipkart from 18 December 2018.
