After originally unveiling at Computex 2016 earlier this year, Asus has launched its flagship android smartphone of 2016, the Asus Zenfone 3 in India. It’s actually a series of Zenfone 3 smartphones that the company has launched in varying screen size, RAM, camera, storage and battery variants.
Asus Zenfone 3 (Rs 21,999 – Rs 27,999)
First, the original Asus Zenfone 3 smartphone which comes in two variants. One called Zenfone 3 (ZE520KL) that’s having a 5.2-inch display, 3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage and a 2,650mAh battery is priced at Rs 21,999. While Zenfone 3 (ZE552KL) model which comes with 5.5-inch display, 64GB onboard storage, 4GB RAM and a 3,000mAh battery is priced at Rs 27,999.
Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra (Rs 49,999)
Next in the line is the phablet ZenFone 3 Ultra which comes with a 6.8-inch display and packs better processor, more ram, bigger battery, more megapixel camera and lots more features.
Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra is priced at Rs 49,999 and will be available later this month in all major online and offline retail stores.
Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe (Rs 49,999 – Rs 62,999)
The most power stuffed smartphone in the series is the Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe. The top-end model that packs the 5.7-inch full HD Super AMOLED display, Snapdragon 821 processor, 6GB RAM and a 23-megapixel camera is priced at Rs 62,999.
Asus ZenFone 3 Laser (Rs 18,999)
The stripped down version from series is the Asus ZenFone 3 Laser. The smartphone packs Snapdragon 430 octa-processor, 32GB inbuilt storage, 2GB RAM and a 13-megapixel rear camera that comes with laser auto focus. The smartphone is priced at Rs 18,999 and available later this month in all major online and offline retail stores.

Coming to the hardware and software part of Asus Zenfone 3, the smartphone got a really great build quality with its metal frame along with diamond-cut edges and 2.5D glass on front and rear.
Under the hood, all variants of Zenfone 3 carries a 2.0Ghz 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Octa-Core processor. As for the RAM the lower variant Zenfone 3 (ZE520KL) got 3GB RAM and 32GB inbuilt storage option, whereas the higher variant Zenfone 3 (ZE552KL) got 4GB RAM and 64GB built-in storage. Do note, you can expand the storage further up to 128GB using microSD card.
There have been major improvements in the photography side, Zenfone 3 now packs a 16-megapixel PixelMaster 3.0 camera on the back with subject-tracking TriTech auto-focus. On the front, the smartphone got an 8-megapixel camera with a wide angle lens of 88-degrees.
For connectivity ZenFone 3 got 4G LTE with support for all Indian 4G bands along with 3G and 2G network options, WiFi, Bluetooth V 4.2 and new TypeC 2.0. The smartphone runs on Android 6.0 marshmallow with Asus’s own ZenUI 3.0 on top.
