To keep the rivals away from snatching its customers, one of Kerala’s largest internet service provider (ISP) Asianet Broadband has launched Unlock Unlimited Internet plans. With broadband plans starting at Rs 399, the operator is offering up to 200 Mbps speed and unlimited data usage with now an industry-standard fair usage policy.

However, most of these plans have an upfront one-time non-refundable activation charge ranging from Rs 250 to Rs 2000. Yet, you could avoid those charges by choosing an advance rental of 6 months to 12 months. As an extra perk for paying for 6 months or 12 months in advance, you will get up to 2-month free usage. When choosing the 6 months rental for Unlock Unlimited Internet plans you will get one-month free usage. Similarly, when paying for 12 months period, you will be getting 2 months extra for free.

Asianet Broadband launches Unlock Unlimited Internet plans

Asianet Broadband Unlock Unlimited Internet plans are available for both new and existing customers. And, yes for both new and existing customers need to pay the above-said activation charges (new customer would also need to pay the installation and modem charges in extra).

Unlock Unlimited Internet plans – Tariff

The Asianet Broadband Unlock Unlimited Internet plans are available in Unlock Starter Plans and Unlock Monthly Plans. In the stater plans there are two Unlock Unlimited Internet plans – Rs 3499 and Rs 3999.

The Rs 3499 Unlock Unlimited Internet comes with 5 months validity (150 days) and offers a speed of up to 125 Mbps with a data FUP limit of 4000 GB per month. After you hit the FUP limit for a month you will still get unlimited internet access but the broadband speed gets reduced to 2 Mbps. This plan has a one-time activation/installation charge of Rs 750.

Whereas the Rs 3999 Unlock Unlimited Internet has a validity of 4 months (120 days) and offers a speed of up to 200 Mbps with a data FUP limit of 4000 GB per month. After you hit the FUP limit for a month, you will still get unlimited internet access, but the broadband speed gets reduced to 2 Mbps. This plan has a one-time activation/installation charge of Rs 250.

Coming to Asianet Broadband Unlock Unlimited monthly plans, you get to choose from Rs 399, Rs 699 and Rs 999 monthly rentals. The basic Rs 399 Unlock unlimited plan provides a speed of up to 30 Mbps with unlimited data. There is a FUP data limit of 3000 GB per month, after which the speed gets reduced to 2 Mbps. The one-time plan activation for this plan is Rs 2000.

The Rs 699 Unlock unlimited plan has a speed of up to 100 Mbps and comes with unlimited data. There is a FUP data limit of 4000 GB per month (5000 GB if you pay for 12 months), after which the speed will get reduced to 2 Mbps. There is a one-time plan activation charge of Rs 1500.

Finally, we have the Rs 999 Unlock unlimited plan which provides a speed of up to 150 Mbps and comes with unlimited data. There is a FUP data limit of 4500 GB per month (5500 GB if you pay for 12 months), after which the speed will get reduced to 2 Mbps. There is a one-time plan activation charge of Rs 1000.

As said earlier, you could avoid those activation charges by paying for 6 months or 12 months tenures. For existing customer too, Asianet Broadband seems to be charging this activation charges (even for upgrading to downgrading to these plans). Also, note that you need to choose/have the Asianet fibre broadband or Asianet Giba Fibernet connection to enjoy those offered internet speeds.
