Apple Inc world’s richest and luxurious gadget maker launched the much awaited iPhone 5, now with taller, faster and stronger. iPhone 5 now comes with a larger 4inch retina display, a faster processor, ultrafast LTE wireless technology, an 8MP iSight camera, everything packed in so thin and so light.

iPhone5 is the thinnest, lightest, fastest iPhone ever made. Its been packed under Aluminum and Glass Body, the back of iPhone 5 is made of anodized 6000 series aluminum the same material used in Apple notebooks and the inlays along the top and bottom made of ceramic glass. It’s just 7.6 millimeters thin which is 8 percent thinner than iPhone 4S and 20 percent lighter than previous iPhone.

Apple launches taller, faster & stronger iPhone 5

iPhone 5 features a 4-inch retina display with a 1136×640 pixel resolution giving it a high pixel density of 326 pixels per inch which provides everything in it is more vivid and lifelike. iPhone 5 is the same width as iPhone 4S. So it’s just as easy to use with one hand. Its powered by A6 chip, which is 22 percent smaller and more energy-efficient. The iPhone 5 holds a 8 megapixel  iSight camera with 40 percent faster photo capture, better low-light performance, and improved noise reduction. It has added Panoramic shoot and enhanced HD video recording. It also got a FaceTime HD front facing camera with 1.2megapixel. Apple has added enhanced connectivity features like 4G LTE, HSPA, HSPA+, and DC-HSDPA. Apple has also added Dual-band 802.11n wireless connectivity accelerated Wi-Fi experience, too up to 150 Mbps. Apple claims iPhone 5 battery to provides 8 hours of talking or web browsing over 3G, 10 hours of web browsing over Wi-Fi, 10 hours of videos, 40 hours of music or 225 hours of standby.

The new iPhone 5 features the latest iOS6 mobile operating system which included Apple’s own Map service ( ditching out the Google Maps), fully baked in Facebook features, enhanced voice assistant Siri. Apple’s new Map app features 100 million business listing, urn-by-turn navigation, 3D view and a new Flyover view. The much hiked Siri now cam open apps from your iPhone, support more languages, get access to sports scores, restaurant recommendations and movies.

The iPhone 5 comes in White & Silver or Black & Slate color and available under the retail price of $199 for 16GB model, $299 for 32GB model and $399  for 64GB model, with all pricing as on US. iPhone 5 will be available in the US, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore and UK starting from September 21 with pre-orders starting from September 14. Apple will be releasing iPhone5 to next 22 more countries on September 28 and other countries (which includes India too) to get it by December 2012.

India Won’t get most of Apple iPhone/iOS Features

If you are looking to buy out an iPhone 5 when it launches in India then you should think twice. You should know that most of the Apple hiked features of iPhone 5 ( iOS too) wont support and ultimately work in India. Like Apple iPhone 5 features 4G LTE which is of no use in India for at least next 2 years (Airtel may have started 4G LTE service, but it may take years to cover pan India.

Another major feature is the Apple’s own Maps service which provides turn-by-turn navigation, 100 million business listing, routing, 3D maps, satellite imagery and getting directions directly through Siri. Except standard map view all other features wont work in India they are limited to just a few selected countries. Siri as earlier is not supported in India, especially due to language ascent. Non of the newly released features are available in India. People in India still can’t purchase music, movies or TV shows from iTunes which is supported by other 60 countries. As a relief you can have millions of app from the Apple app store which is available in almost every country.
