As scheduled, Apple has officially launched its latest smartphone iPhone 5 in India through its official distribution partners in India Ingram Micro & Redington and also through its telecom partners Bharti Airtel and Aircel. Customers who have pre-booked the handset can head over to the retail outlets and pick up the iPhone 5. Though according to various source the iPhone 5 is in limited supply, so potential customers could try their luck at one of the Apple resellers.
Apple retailers are selling the factory un-locked iPhone 5 in Indian market, thus customers are able to use it with any telecom network in India. According to the official pricing, the base model Apple iPhone 5 16GB version will get priced at Rs 45,500, Apple iPhone 5 32GB version will get priced at Rs 52,500 and the high-end model Apple iPhone 5 64GB version will get priced at Rs 59,500. Bharti Airtel and Apple Distributer Redington are holding special event in Mumbai and in other Metro cities to customers who have pre-booked the iPhone 5.
With the launch of iPhone 5, Indian telecom operators Bharti Airtel and Aircel has launched special voice and data tariff plans for customers. Bharti Airtel India’s top telecom operator is offering special recharge benefits for Postpaid and Prepaid customers buying iPhone 5.

Aircel Prepaid tariff plans for iPhone 5 – With simple top up options starting at Rs 396, customer will get up to 15 GB data usage on 3G and 2G, along with additional benefits on calling and SMSing.
Aircel Postpaid tariff plans for iPhone 5 – For Postpaid customers pay nothing for the first 12 months and get up to 500 mins of calling, 500 SMS and 1GB data usage, absolutely free, per month.
