Amazon Prime Reading allow prime members to read hundreds of popular books at no extra cost. You could borrow hundreds of eligible eBooks, comics and more for free. This includes catalogue across literature and fiction, quick reads, romance, non-fiction, comics and graphic novels, travel, science fiction and fantasy, biographies, Indian regional language books and more.

When we checked, Amazon Prime Reading has a great collection of popular titles. Prime members can now read their favourite titles at no additional cost by conveniently downloading and reading ebooks within minutes,” said Rajiv Mehta, Country Manager, Kindle India, in a press statement. “They can discover and read new and bestselling titles from a variety of authors at no additional cost. Ebooks under Prime Reading include all genres like Literature & Fiction, Travel, and Romance,” he further added.

Amazon Prime Reading is available at free of cost to every prime member. You can browse through the Prime Reading collection and borrow any eBook to your account. You could read the eBooks on your Kindle devices or via Kindle reading apps which are available on mobile, PC and Mac. Amazon India has also launched a lite version of the Kindle app called ‘Kindle Lite’ for Android devices.

Difference between Prime Reading and Kindle Unlimited

The Prime Reading goes alongside with the earlier launched Kindle Unlimited subscription services. Kindle Unlimited offers unlimited access to over a million eBook titles. However, Prime Reading offers only a few hundreds of eBook titles to read.

While for Kindle Unlimited you need to shed around Rs 150 per month. Prime Reading comes bundled with your Amazon India prime membership at no additional cost. It’s an additional benefit to your prime membership, just like the Prime Videos and Amazon Music.
