Airtel starts offering Surprise Data benefits for PostPaid subscribers

After getting rated as the fastest mobile network in India for 2016 by Ookla, India’s largest telecom operator Airtel has started offering a little surprise for its Postpaid mobile subscribers. Starting 13th March 2017, pan-India Postpaid mobile subscribers will get a free surprise 4G or 3G data benefits.

How to get the surprise data? If you are an Airtel postpaid subscriber, you first need to log into MyAirtel app. In the app click on the banner saying ‘claim free internet‘. Based on your current data usage, you will get anything from 1GB to 10GB of 4G data per month. Do note that not every subscriber will get the same surprise data benefits.

You will be getting the surprise benefits divided for a period of three months. So, if you have got 30GB of surprise 4G data benefits it will be divided to 10GB of 4G data per month. The free surprise data benefits will be automatically credited to your postpaid account, in addition to your existing data benefits.

Airtel Surprises for Postpaid Subscribers

• If you are an Airtel Postpaid subscriber, log on to MyAirtel app.
• Click on the banner saying ‘claim free internet’.
• You will see the surprise 4G data benefit for your account.
• Surprise data will be added as ‘Free Data’ under your monthly plan within 72 hours.
• The free data is valid for a period of 3 months.

This is not the first time Airtel has offered surprise gifts for its subscribers. Recently when the operator achieved a milestone of two million home broadband users, they started offering ‘Airtel Surprises‘ for its subscribers. If you are an Airtel Broadband subscriber you will get free additional monthly data top-up with your existing broadband plans. Also, you get free premium access to Airtel Movies.

In addition to the Airtel Surprises, the operator is also packing extra benefits under myHome Rewards. If you link your Airtel postpaid or Digital TV connection with your broadband account, you can get 5 GB extra monthly for each connection. So if you have two Airtel postpaid users at home, you can link them to your broadband account and avail free extra 10 GB of data every month.
