Yes, you’ve heard it right. India’s top telecom operator Bharti Airtel has started giving away a full one-year premium subscription to Amazon Prime with its Postpaid plans and Broadband plans.
Both existing and new Airtel customers can avail the exciting new freebie from the telco. Airtel Postpaid customers choosing the Rs 499 or above myPlan Infinity Postpaid plans, get one year Amazon Prime membership for free. Whereas, Airtel Broadband customers subscribed to the Rs 1,999 Broadband plan also gets free one year Amazon Prime subscription.
Since Amazon Prime’s special introductory offer of Rs 499 per year ended last year, its annual subscription now costs Rs 999 per year. What makes the deal more exciting is that with Amazon Prime subscription you get a slew of benefits from Amazon India. First thing, you get unlimited access to Movies and TV Shows under Amazon Prime Video. Second, guaranteed free One-Day, Two-Day and Standard delivery on eligible items while shopping at Amazon India. Third, early access to top deals and coupons at Amazon India and Prime exclusive deals. Amazon is also bringing its Prime Music to India, which will also be free for Amazon Prime members.
Amazon Prime Subscription on Airtel Postpaid Plans
To get one year free Amazon Prime subscription, you need to be on Airtel’s myPlan Infinity postpaid plans with a monthly rental of Rs 499 or above. Both existing and new Airtel Postpaid customers can avail the offer.
- Choose Airtel’s myPlan Infinity postpaid plans of Rs 499 or above.
- Download the Airtel TV app available for both Android and iOS device.
- Once you have installed the app and signed in with your Airtel account, click on the Amazon Prime Video offer card shown on the Featured page of the app along with other contents. Note that the offer card will only be shown if you’re eligible for the offer or have the correct Postpaid plan.
- Click on the Amazon Prime Video offer card to avail the free Amazon Prime membership.
- You will now need to either sign in to your Amazon India account. If you are not an existing Amazon India customer, sign up for the service.
- Once signed in to Amazon account, the Prime membership will be activated automatically for one year. As it’s a complimentary service, you won’t need to give any credit or debit card details.
Amazon Prime on Airtel Broadband Plans
Airtel V-Fiber Broadband subscribers too can avail the one-year year premium membership to Amazon Prime. For that, you need to be on the Rs 1,999 monthly broadband plan. The step to avail the freebie remains pretty much the same. You download the Airtel TV app and if you’re eligible, the Amazon Prime Video offer card will be shown. Click on it to download the Amazon Indian app and sign in or sign up to avail the one-year Prime membership.
Note that, the Amazon Prime membership is free only for the first year for Airtel customers. Starting second year, you will be charged the usual Amazon Prime membership fee of Rs 999. However, you will have the option to opt-out of the service at anytime. Also, the offer is only available to Amazon users who do not have a Prime membership. If you are already an Amazon Prime member, you will have to wait for the ongoing Prime subscription to end before you can avail the offer.
