People at Ludhiana (Punjab telecom circle) can now enjoy the super high-speed wireless internet service as India’s top telecom operator Bharti Airtel has launched its 4G LTE service in the city for its Prepaid and Postpaid customers.Customers can now enjoy 4G internet access simultaneously on dongles, Wi-Fi Customer Premise Equipment (CPEs) and mobile phones. Before this, Airtel was offering 4G services only in Bangalore, Kolkata, Pune, Chandigarh, Panchkular, and Mohali.

Airtel prepaid and postpaid customers on iPhone 5s or iPhone 5c in Ludhiana can exchange their existing SIM for a 4G USIM (Universal Subscriber Identification Module) which is a 128 KB SIM. Airtel is offering several plans for users migrating to 4G service who can opt for any 3G data plans and enjoy high-speed 4G at no extra cost.

Customers can also get this high-speed internet through Airtel 4G dongles, WiFi CPE and other 4G compatible handsets available in India including Xolo LT 900 and LG G2 (model D802T). Customers can get a 4G SIM at free of cost with the purchase of a 4G dongle which cost Rs 1500 or WiFi CPE which cost Rs 2500, while it will cost a nominal fees of Rs 49 for mobile users.

Coming on to the 4G tariffs, customers choosing for 4G dongles and CPE have a slew of tariff plans starting at Rs 450 for 2GB of 4G data usage per month. High data usage customers can opt for Break Free 80GB plan that is offered at Rs 4799 per month for 80GB of high-speed 4G data usage. Any usage after the free data limit will be charged at 5 paisa per 100KB with a bill shield of Rs 1000, after that the speed will be throttled.

Airtel 4G dongles and CPE Tariff offer plans

For 4G mobile users Airtel has introduced a new special pack of Rs 999 for postpaid users and Rs 995 for prepaid customers which offers 10GB+ unlimited of high-speed 4G data usage per month. Other than that postpaid users can choose 4G tariff plans starting at Rs 100 per month and prepaid users can choose 4G data plans starting at Rs 44.
