Aircel to Launch 3G Mobile And Data Services Before ICC World Cup 2011

Aircel, the fifth largest telecom service provider in India is expected to launch its 3G Mobile and Data Services before the start of ICC World Cup 2011 which is also held in India . Aircel have obtained 3G Spectrum Allocation in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kolkata, Kerala, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh (East), West Bengal, Bihar, Orissa, Assam, North East and Jammu & Kashmir Circles.

We can find here that Aircel have covered all the major 4 south Indian states for its 3G Mobile and Data Services and are planning to launch its 3G Services at a time in all its circles. There  were 3G Experience Zones opened by Aircel in different parts of India to experience 3G .

Mr.Gurdeep Singh, Chief Operating Officer, Aircel told PTI,”We expect 3G presence in all circles where we have bagged spectrum before world cup begins on 19th February”

He also added “We want to roll out 3G services first and see the response before launching BWA services which will be available by end of this year. By March, we should be able to decide whether we are going for LTE or wimax for BWA,”

Mr.Gurdeep Singh COO,Aircel also said ” the prices will be competitive and BWA(Broadband Wireless Access) services will be launched by the end of the year”. Aircel made revolutionary in Mobile Data Consumption by introducing unlimited mobile internet at just Rs.98/month.
