Reliance Jio is gearing up for its full-fledged pan-India 4G LTE service rollout and to accompany its services the company has introduced a wide range of LYF branded android smartphones. The upcoming smartphones which include the high-end LYF Earth 1 and mid-range LYF Water 1 and LYF Water 2 have been now listed on Reliance Digital’s online store.

The LYF Earth 1 will be among the top-end model or the premium segment from Reliance Jio’s LYF branded smartphones. The company calls its design as “Stunning design, innovative engineering“, as it comes with a monolithic design crafted in 7.2mm aluminium alloy frame with a rear glass finish. The smartphones flaunt a 5.5 inch AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixel and its powered by 1.5 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 64-bit processor coupled with the generous amount of memory – 3GB RAM.

The smartphone comes with some extra gimmicks on camera tech, a combination of 13MP and 2MP dual rear camera with PureCel technology offering the perfect shots every time. On the front, it got a 5-megapixel selfie camera. The device comes with 32GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 32 GB using microSD card. On the connectivity front the smartphones got dual SIM capability with 4G LTE (covering all Reliance Jio BAND (FDD BAND3(1800)/BAND5(850), TDD BAND40(2300)), VoLTE, 3G and 2G support. The smartphone runs on Android v5.1.1 Lollipop operating system and expected to get an update soon.

Reliance Jio unveils LYF Water series android smartphones

LYF Water range are among the mid-range android smartphones offering from Reliance Jio’s LYF brand. LYF Water 1 comes with a 5 inch full HD (1920 x 1080 pixel) IPS LCD display powered by 1.5 GHz Octa Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor and 2GB RAM. On the rear, it got a 13-megapixel camera with Sony Exmor RS IMX-214 lens and in the front a 5 MP selfie camera.

On the storage side, the smartphones come with 16 GB internal storage that can be easily expanded up to 32GB using microSD card. On the connectivity front, the smartphones got dual SIM capability with 4G LTE, VoLTE, 3G and 2G support along with WiFi, VoWiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. The smartphone runs on Android v5.1.1 Lollipop operating system and come with a 2600 mAh battery.

Whereas slightly affordable LYF Water 2 smartphones got the same hardware spec of LYF Water1 except the 5 inch HD (1280 x 720 pixel) IPS LCD display, a bit older Android v5.0.2 Lollipop operating system and smaller 2400 mAh battery.

On the pricing side, LYF Earth 1 is currently priced at Rs 23,990, LYF Water 1 priced at Rs 14,999 and LYF Water 2 priced at Rs 14,690. None of the smartphones is available to buy and only listed on the Reliance Digital online store with an ‘enquire now’ form. But as the smartphones details and pricing been revealed, Reliance Jio is expected soon to make it available to the public. The Reliance Jio LYF brand smartphones also got a more affordable range of smartphones under the Wind and Flame series.
