Drama, action, comedy, documentaries, TV shows all in its glory. Netflix has officially launched its streaming video on demand service in India with subscription plans starting from Rs 500 per month.

Netflix has announced three plans called Basic, Standard and Premium, which are priced pretty much at the standard US dollar rates at Rs 500, Rs 650 and Rs 800 per month respectively. All plans come with unlimited streaming of movies and TV shows and can be watched on any device including laptop, TV, smartphones and tablet. Basic plan offers Standard Definition (SD) video streaming on one screen at a time, whereas Standard plan offers High Definition (HD) stream and can be watched on two screens at a time. The top, premium plan offers ultra HD videos and can be streamed up to four devices at a time.

Netflix offers one of the largest collection of movies and TV shows along with Netflix original series including Marvel’s Daredevil and Marvel’s Jessica Jones, Narcos, Sense8, Grace and Frankie, and Marco Polo. You can stream videos on virtually any device that have an Internet connection. For those worried about their connection speed and data usage, Netflix will automatically provide the best possible streaming quality based on available bandwidth. As per them, a full-length movie on SD will consume only 1GB of data per hour and up to 3GB per hour on HD.
