It’s premium, powerful, faster, bigger, can take great photos and comes with high-speed 4G VoLTE connectivity. Gionee has launched a new android smartphone under its ‘P’ series – the Gionee P7 Max in India.
First, on to the pricing, Gionee P7 Max got a price tag of Rs 13,999. The smartphone will be available in both online and offline retail stores across India. With its price tag, the mobile will compete with the like of Moto G4 Plus, Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and LeEco Le 2.

Design-wise Gionee P7 Max comes with a metal unibody that got ripple effect pattern. The mobile flaunts a 5.5-inch IPS HD display that’s protected with NEG protection. Under the hood, the smartphone carries a 2.2 GHz MediaTek MT6595 octa-core processor coupled with 3GB RAM. This combination offers enhanced gaming and multitasking performance.
For storing your photos, music, videos, and documents the Gionee P7 Max got 32GB internal storage that can be further expanded up to 128GB using microSD card. On the photography side, the smartphones come with the 13-megapixel camera on the back with LED flash. Other camera features include HDR, Time-Lapse videos, Smart Scene and full HD video recording. On the front for selfie lovers, the mobile got a 5-megapixel camera with screen flash support.
The dual-SIM Gionee P7 Max supports 4G LTE networks with full support for Indian 4G bands. The mobile also supports VoLTE which is used to make HD voice calls. Other connectivity option includes 3G & 2G network support, WiFi, Bluetooth and Micro USB 2.0. The smartphone runs on Android OS, V6.0 Marshmallow OS with Gionee’s Amigo 3.2 skin over the top.
The big miss out here is the extra security option or the fingerprint scanner, which most of the smartphone under this price range have.
