Stepping up its game against the private telcos, the government owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has introduced true unlimited 3G data STV for its prepaid mobile customers. As the name tells, the true unlimited 3G data STV offers unlimited data usage with no speed restriction.
BSNL has actually revised its existing 3G data STV 1099 which used to provide users with 9GB of 3G data benefits with a validity of 60 days for the true unlimited data plan. Post the free data benefits users were charged around 3 paise per 10 KB of data usage.
The revised 3G data STV 1099 now comes with true unlimited 3G data benefits with no sort of speed restriction or FUP limit. But, BSNL has decreased the validity of the data STV to thirty days.

The new true unlimited 3G data STV will be available for pan-Indian prepaid mobile subscribers starting from 25th August 2016. You can activate the data STV by SMS STV DATA1099 to 123, where the charges will be deducted from your main account balance.
In addition, BSNL has also introduced two new 3G data STV packs – data STV 156 that offers 2GB of 3G data benefits for 10 days and data STV 549 which comes with 10GB of 3G data benefits for 30 days.
