Bring the BlackBerry smartphones to the mass market, BlackBerry today launched its mid-range budget friendly BlackBerry Z3 in India with a price tag of Rs 15,990. It’s one of the cheapest BlackBerry device the company has launched to come with the latest BB 10 operating system.

BlackBerry Z3 got a stylish design with a 5 inch qHD display of resolution of 960 x 540 pixels and a pixel density of 220 ppi. It’s powered by 1.2 GHz Dual Core Qualcomm MSM8230 processor coupled with 1.5GB RAM and Adreno 305 GPU. It carries 8GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 32GB using microSD memory cards. On the rear it got a 5 megapixel auto-focus camera with flash and on front a 1.1 megapixel fixed-focus camera that supports 720p HD video recording.

On the connectivity side BlackBerry Z3 supports 3G HSPA+ along with 2G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy (LE) with aptX enabled. On the software side the device runs on BlackBerry 10 operating system version 10.2.1 and importantly its supports Android apps. Android apps need to be downloaded directly from the Internet through the BlackBerry Browser or by the company’s recent partnership with Amazon, one can download the Android apps through Amazon App store.

In addition the device is loaded with BlackBerry (BBM) messenger, BlackBerry Keyboard that  write and adapts to how you type and supports typing Hindi language, BlackBerry Hub – that  essentially a quick access notification centre, BlackBerry Story Maker,  BlackBerry Maps/Navigation and more.
