How the Scam Works
Once you click on the Wall Post link, you are guided to a page as shown below. Here you are asked to install the rogue app “Views”:
If you accept and install the app, by allowing the application developer full access to your basic information, post on your wall, and access your data at any time your account is jacked and you are spreading the scammer’s message to all of your friends. You will then be taken to the following screen:
This is the end game, here the scammer makes you complete a survey. Each time someone completes a survey, they get paid. Don’t compromise your privacy and spam your friends with these bogus apps.
❗ Never give a third party application this much access unless you are 100% sure of their intentions and authenticity.

What To Do If You Have Already Installed these Apps
- Clean-up your newsfeed and profile to remove references to the application.
- Access your privacy settings and remove the application.

➡ If you made the mistake of submitting your cell phone number for any of the surveys, then contact your carrier immediately to keep any bogus charging from appearing.
Warn Your Friends
If your friend has updated their profile saying that their profile has been viewed so many times, kindly tell them about the scam and ask them to delete the update from their profile, lest someone else clicks on it.
